A donation to the Rhea County Historical and Genealogical Society brings a physical object from the early 19th-century, still standing today among modern buildings, to give a tactile experience for those wishing to live past history.
The original R.N. Gillespie log cabin, which he lived in when the famous Gillespie House of Old Washington fame was being built, has been donated to the historical society.
