Despite misgivings by some board members and City of Dayton Attorney Susan Arnold, the Dayton Industrial Development Board approved joining with the Rhea County Commission in conveying land to La-Z-Boy for a truck facility.
Board Member Art Klee and Arnold, through City Manager Frank Welch and Dayton Vice Mayor Steve Randolph, who was on hand at the meeting, expressed concerns over non-performance language in the contract between the city and La-Z-Boy.
