While reading from statements provided by the suspects charged with the murder of 5-year-old Landon Robbins in court on Wednesday, Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Rocky Potter recounted the boys’ final days — days that included whippings and the ingestion of both dish washing liquid and cigarette butts.
Landon’s mother, 24-year-old Jessica Robbins, and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Bradley Adcox, wrote in their statements to investigators that Landon was being punished for not to going sleep.
And when whippings didn’t work, Potter said the couple told him they made the boy drink dish washing liquid and eat cigarette butts.
