Benefit Car Wash (9/7) — Reformers Unanimous of Lake View Baptist Church will be asking for donations during their free car wash at Howard Johnson’s in Spring City on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. All donations are welcome and will go towards advertising signs for Reformers Unanimous. Wilson Family Benefit (9/7) — There will be a benefit/fundraiser for Matthew Wilson and his family on Saturday, Sept. 7, beginning at 8 a.m. at Hilltop Baptist Church. Matthew was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis Disease several months ago. The benefit will include a yard sale, a bake sale, an auction and a lunch. Dayton American Legion Post 100 Meeting (9/9) — Dayton American Legion Post 100 will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a covered dish supper. Friends of Audrey Pack Memorial Library Meeting (9/11) — The Friends of the Audrey Pack Memorial Library in Spring City will hold their next monthly meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. in the library conference room. Plans will be finalized for the Community Yard Sale and Bake Sale that will be held on Oct. 5. Interested yard-salers are encouraged to pre-register at the library for booth space. Cost of the spaces are $8 on the hard top and $6 on the lawn. The biennniel silent auction scheduled for November will be discussed and the name of the Teachers’ Supply Box drawing winner will be announced. Anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome to join.

Graysville Fall Festival Pageant Deadline (9/13) — The deadline for the 2013 Graysville Fall Festival Pageant is Sept. 13. Entries are $10 per contestant in one of eight categories. A minimum of three contestants must be entered in a category for that category to be included in the pageant. The pageant will be held Friday, Sept. 20, at the Graysville City Hall, located at 136 Harrison Ave., beginning with check-in at 5 p.m. followed by the pageant at 6 p.m. Contact the City of Graysville at 775-9242 for more information.
Cancer Survivor Brunch (9/14) — A Celebrate Life Survivors Brunch will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at First United Methodist Church, located on Market Street in Dayton. Evensville Fire Dept. & Rhea County Sheriff’s Dept. Mud Bog (9/14) — The Evensville Fire Department and Rhea County Sheriff’s Department will be hold a Mud Bog, Saturday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. at the C & H Arena in Evensville. Admission at the gate is $5 for age 10 to adult, $3 for ages 4 to 9 and free for ages 3 and under. No alcohol beverages will be allowed.
Walden’s Ridge Fall Festival (9/14) — The annual Walden’s Ridge Fall Festival will be held Sat., Sept. 14, beginning at 7 a.m. with coffee and pastries. Activities include old-fashioned sorgum molasses made on site, a yard sale, music, crafts, jewelry, a quilt show, a raffle, cake walks, a snack bar and more.

Fly-In, Drive-In Breakfast (9/28) — The Civil Air Patrol will host a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Mark Anton Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 28. The all-you-can-eat cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The event will be held rain or shine.
Benefit Concert for Matthew Wilson (9/28) — There will be a benefit concert for Matthew Wilson and his family on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Centennial Park in downtown Dayton. Concert is free, but donations will be accepted. Appearing at the concert will be Danny Shirley of Confederate Railroad, Roger Alan Wade, The Other Guys band and Carrie Hassler. Matthew was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis Disease several months ago.
Fall Craft Fair in Spring City (10/12) — The 2013 Fall Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Spring City Depot. Artists, crafters and food vendors will be on hand for this day of family fun. Benefit Poker Run (10/12) — A benefit poker run will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Minner Hole Lounge , located at 12169 Old Dayton Pike in Soddy Daisy, Tenn. The $20 per bike poker run will benefit the Soddy Daisy Health Care and Life Care Center of Rhea County nursing homes. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and “kickstands up” will be at 11 a.m. Fish plates will be sold for $5 and a raffle will be held for a signed Charlie Daniels guitar.
