In an attempt to not quash private enterprise but allow a potential community-enhancing project to run fiber optic lines to Rhea Medical Center, the Dayton City Council will look at helping Bright Bridge build a rural health network tied into Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
The council took no action during a called meeting on Monday and decided to get some answers as to whether or not they can run the fiber line on AT&T poles, which the city has a pole attachment agreement with.
