The Rhea County High School golf teams split matches with Bledsoe County High School on Thursday at Tennessee Hills Golf Club, with the Eagles winning by 24 strokes.
The boys’ team improved to 2-4 on the season, but the Lady Eagles took the loss by default because they only had one player to compete, which was Caylan Goins, who shared low honors with a 54, but by rule, teams must have two players for the scores to count. The girls’ team fell to 3-3.
