A new high school doesn’t necessarily mean the sports’ teams will get new everything, but for the Rhea County High School [RCHS] basketball, wrestling and weight room coaches, they are beside themselves with excitement, appreciation and gratitude.
The new home to the RCHS basketball teams has a seating capacity of 2,000, with an upper level that has a full size court behind the bleachers. The bleachers are retractable and will move forward, giving the upper gym the most available workspace. The upper gym is also equipped with bleachers and a scoreboard, which can be used for basketball and wrestling events.
