Rhea County High School’s [RCHS] 2013 graduate Emily Thurman became the latest Eagle student athlete to extend their career as she signed a cross-country scholarship to Cumberland University on Thursday.
Cumberland University is located in Lebanon, Tenn., 30 miles east of Nashville. Founded in 1842, Cumberland University is one of the state’s oldest institutions, where the athletic teams regularly compete for conference and national championships.
