Camps are commonplace during the summer break for many students, and for almost 30 years the Rhea County Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has hosted its annual camp at Rhea County High School [RCHS], including the most recent one, which ran from Monday until Thursday.
Former Eagle head football coach Bill Horton started the camp in the 1980s and kept it going strong until his passing in 1995. RCHS Athletic Director Micah Ruehling and coach Steffan Holder picked up the reigns and have been directing the camp ever since.
