Seeds of Dignity Ministries — Seeds of Dignity Ministries needs leftover Bibles, Vacation Bible School and Sunday School materials to ship to the Philippines. Call 423-637-7739 to arrange to have these items collected.
Freedom Tabernacle — Freedom Tabernacle is located at 13538 Rhea County Hwy, beside the post office in Evensville. Sunday Bible Study is held at 10:15 a.m. followed by Church and Children’s Church at 11a.m. A Thursday evening Bible Study and Covered Dish Fellowship starts at 6 p.m. with music practice starting at 8 p.m. Musicians, singers, people with vision for ministry are needed. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Freedom.”
First Presbyterian Church (6/3-7/31) — First Presbyterian Church, located at 268 West Jackson Ave. in Spring City, will host a Summer Lunch Program to provide free lunches for children during the summer months. Lunch will be available at the church between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Each Friday, children will receive a nutritional snack pack to take home for the weekend. Wolf Creek Baptist Church (6/15-23) — Wolf Creek Baptist Church, located at 5225 Wolf Creek Road in Spring City, will hold a Vacation Bible School on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly. Theme for the VBS is “SonWest Roundup” and will include Bible lessons, crafts, games and much more. A Fun Day will be held Sunday, June 23, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. with Parents Night and closing program held at 6 p.m. Children ages three years through eighth-grade are welcome. Bogles Chapel Baptist Church (6/17-21) — Bogles Chapel Baptist Church, located on Hwy 302 in Evensville (the church with the lighthouse), will hold their Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 17, to Friday, June 21, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. The theme is “Investigation Destination: Follow clues to the King of Kings” and classes will be open to those two years of age to adult. The VBS will include Bible stories, music, games, puppets, crafts and snacks.
Texas Grove Baptist Church (6/17-21) — Texas Grovel Baptist Church will hold their Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 17, to Friday, June 21, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. The patriotic theme of the VBS is “In God We Trust.”
Wolf Creek Baptist Church (6/17-21) — Wolf Creek Baptist Church, located two miles east of Watts Bar Dam on Hwy. 68 will hold their Vacation Bible School, Sonrise National Park, Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. Registration will also be held for the VBS each night at 6 p.m. Children Pre-K through 5th-grade will enjoy lots of activities and learn the Word of God. Immanuel Presbyterian Chapel (7/7) — Immanuel Presbyterian Chapel will hold a special worship service on Sunday, July 7, at 3:30 pm in the Dayton Community Room, in recognition of there new official status as a “mission church” of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA), sometimes referred to as “the Covenanters” because of their roots in late 17th century Scotland. Rev. Dr. Richard E. Knodel, RPCNA pastor in SE Ohio (and formerly Reformed Presbyterian pastor/teacher/evangelist in Scotland, Orthodox Presbyterian Church pastor in Virginia, and Presbyterian Church in America pastor in Pennsylvania), will be preaching. The RPCNA denomination has existed in the U.S. since 1798, although it has deep roots in the Scottish Reformation. The church is Christ-centered, Bible-believing, and Reformed according to Scripture in doctrine, worship, and government.
