The Rhea County Commission will once again renew talks of purchasing property for the construction of a new jail or justice center at its Tuesday, May 21, meeting, according to a meeting agenda released by the county executive’s office on Wednesday.
County commissioners are set to discuss the two properties currently under consideration — one near Richland Plaza near Oak Street and 16th Avenue and one near Eagle Exxon on the corner of Manufacturers Road and Rhea County Highway.
