Former Rhea County Administrator of Elections Theresa Snyder was removed from her post on Wednesday after declining to offer her resignation.
The Rhea County Election Commission voted 4-1 in April to ask for Snyder’s resignation. The motion, made by newly installed Republican election commissioner Linda Pendergrass, came with a stipulation that if Snyder did not resign, she would be removed from office.
