With the new season, all the newest and latest in fashion arrives as the first warm breeze blows through town. I hate to tell you but most of what is “in” now was also popular when we (those 50 and older) were in high school. Let me just say if you wore it back then it is not age appropriate now. In case you were wondering no miniskirts, midriff tops, or short shorts are in fashion for anyone over 30 or even worse anyone over 50. I understand how reliving those special times through our stylish but outdated clothes is tempting, but our kids and the viewing public are not enjoying our blast to the past. They just are making notes and taking pictures to have us ambushed by Stacy and Clinton on “What Not To Wear.” Just let it go and back away from the rack of miniskirts! Please let your men friends know that bell-bottoms, white shoes and leisure suits will never come back in style. I am sure the material used to make leisure suits has been outlawed in all 50 states.
