In a 4-1 vote, the Rhea County Election Commission requested the resignation of administrator of elections Theresa Snyder at a meeting on Monday, adding that if Snyder does not resign, she could be removed from office.
Recently installed Republican election commissioner Linda Pendergrass made the motion to request Snyder's resignation, and fellow Republican election commissioner Skip Griffin seconded it.
