Magnetic refrigerator letters made me very sad the other day. It sounds ridiculous, but it’s true.
One of my co-workers has an adorable two-year-old daughter named Delilah (or “Lilah” as she calls herself). She has exceptional verbal skills to be so young and a mind like a steel trap. She doesn’t forget anything. She and I became fast friends from the moment we met and I look forward to her visits to the office. I can have a terrible day, but the sound of those little feet running down the hallway (especially when they are ensconced in pink cowboy boots) and that sweet little voice calling out “Keeeeeeeem” (which is what she calls me) will make me smile instantly.
