I know I have been lazy about writing “Laugh Lines” when my mom’s doctor mentions to her that he noticed I haven’t written any articles lately. For one thing, he’s a guy and I would imagine most of my readers are female although I do know Lewis reads my article. For another thing, he’s a doctor — who is busier than a doctor? That he even takes a peek at my column makes me happy, so shout out to my mom’s doctor!
I don’t think I’ve ever had a busier tax season than this one. My role has changed somewhat at the firm, and I am now preparing personal taxes in addition to my regular duties. This has made for an extremely stressful few months. I completed a 13-week course in the fall to teach me the basics of 1040 preparation; however, learning our software has been interesting. This old dog isn’t really into learning new tricks, but I do like to challenge myself. I will definitely be ready to wave a white flag at 5 p.m. on April 15!
