With the excitement surrounding the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and March Madness that began on Thursday, a few members of the Rhea County High School [RCHS] basketball and football teams assisted residents of the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center in filling out their 2013 tournament bracket as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
The Spring City Care Center’s director of activities Debbie Early coordinated the event and said the idea originated from one of the center’s younger male residents, where he encouraged the residents to chip in a couple of dollars apiece to fill out a bracket and all the money raised would be donated to the American Heart Association.
