The Rhea County High School Lady Eagles’ basketball team was recently honored for its classroom accomplishments when athletic director Micah Ruehling presented every member of the 2012-13 squad with the TSSAA Distinguished Scholastic Achievement Award.

The award is only given to teams who have maintained high academic standards in the classroom, and the Lady Eagles’, as a team, boast a 3.827 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
