In three straight games, the number three has haunted Rhea County High School head basketball coach Mike Phillips and the Eagles, because they have suffered the third loss in a row by three points and with a last shot attempt from beyond the arc.

The Eagles lost 68-65 to the Cumberland County Jets on Tuesday, which marked their fourth loss in the last five games, bringing their record to 4-5 (1-3 in District 5-AAA).  The fourth loss was by only six points.  Phillips contends the Eagles are competing, and it's just a matter of catching a break and those close games could go either way.  He also wants his team to continue to believe in themselves.

Lady Eagles
With the move to District 6-AAA next year, the Lady Eagles of Rhea County High School (RCHS) saw first hand what awaits them, as Rhea took on the Cumberland County Lady Jets on Tuesday and won 54-46.
