In this intricate yet intimate epistle to the church at Ephesus the Apostle Paul identifies himself with all others whose purpose in Christ is “that we should be to the praise of his glory” (12). We are apt to lose sight of God's purpose of grace. The benefits we acquire through salvation are only secondary to the glory that redounds to God through our translation from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light, and His thus acquiring a people for His Name, a redeemed family of God.
