Stella Louise Garmany, 69. Entered this world on March 22, 1944, the daughter of Ms. Sally M. Garmany. She departed this life at her home Friday, Sept. 20, 2013. Stella was a member of the Dayton Church of Christ where she was baptized in the river during a tent revival. She was a lifetime resident of Rhea County and a former employee of Bryan College.
Stella Louise loved the Lord and she loved her church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Garmany; grandmother, Maggie Garmany; sister, Carolyn Jean Garmany; and her son Dustin Alexander Garmany.
Stella leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Ms. Billie Mae Garmany; sons, Dennis L. (Ginger) Garmany, Samuel D. (Christina) Garmany and James L. Garmany and daughters, Barbara Ann (James) Banks, Rachel Swafford and Odetta (Tim) Thompson. She also leaves behind a legacy of 18 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved church family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Minister Steve Brown officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Monday.
