Doris McClure Jordan Morrison, beautiful spirit, body and soul, left this earthly realm on Thursday, August 29, 2013.
Doris was a mother and homemaker all of her life. She worked at Wal-Mart in her later years and was known as the “hat lady.” She witnessed for Jesus Christ to everyone she came into contact with and prayed for family friends, world leaders and those less fortunate for hours at a time daily.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice E. Jordan; second husband, Rauleigh Morrison; parents, Lloyd and Frances Barger McClure; four brothers, Maynard, Lester, Ray and Jerry McClure; sister, Carrie Davis and Beloved nephews, Larry McClure and Wesley Gurley.
Left behind to carry on her prayer vigil are her two daughters, Debbie (Carey) Fite and Fran Jordan; three sons, Rick, Joe and Dan Jordan; four sisters, Helen McClure, Naomi Goins, Rosa Arnold and Vickie Napier. She was loved and will be sorely missed by 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Ruehling and Rev. Rob Armstrong officiating. Burial will held at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday.
