Viva Alexandra Crawley, 96, of Graysville, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at her residence.
A lifetime resident of Rhea County, she was one of the founders of the Graysville Library and also was very active in the Graysville community. She was retired from Robinsonís Manufacturing Company after 25 years of service and an independent consultant of Amway, Avon and Watkins products. She was a member of Mtn. View United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lans Crawley; parents Victor H. and Nola McCabe Welch; one brother and four sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo Nelda (Jim) Patton of Graysville; two grandchildren, Craig (Donna) Patton and Marla Jesse Messimer; three sisters, Shirley Miller and Nancy Vineyard both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Arnetta Garmany of Dayton; one brother, Frank Welch of Datyon; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Nelson, Bailee Messimer, Lans, Riley and Hayla Patton; two great-great-grandchildren, Bentlee Fullam and Jaxon Nelson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. John Neese officiating. Burial will be at Rhea Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
