John “JC” Calvin Clark (85)

John “JC” Calvin Clark, age 85, a resident of Mount Clemens, Mich. since 1954, died on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at McLaren Macomb. On June 18, 1948, he was united in marriage to the former Maxine Dolly Harris. This year they would have celebrated 65 years of marriage.
John worked as a machinist at the New Haven Foundry for 17 years and later at ACR Industries for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed working on his yard, gardening, and trips to the casino. John could often be found relaxing while watching his favorite TV shows or listening to country music. He will be remembered as a friendly and generous man, being a father-like figure to many in his neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Dolly; four children, Doris Zielinski of Fraser, Mich., Vickie Clark of Clinton Township., Mich, Brett (Denice) Clark of Orefield, Penn. and Craig Clark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Wilburn Clark of Dayton and James Earl Clark of Hixson, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Oscar Harris formerly of Dayton; six grandchildren, Amy, Emily and Elizabeth Zielinski and Lynn, Christina and Matthew Clark and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Van Buren and Bertha Clark; five brothers, Marion, Edward, Leonard, Richard and Paul Clark; two sisters, Lydia Marshall and Lela Baker and son-in-law, Larry Zielinski.
Visitation will be held in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street in Mt. Clemens, Mich. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. with the funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Mich.
