James Calvin Williams, Sr., 80, of Spring City, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman, Tenn. Mr. Williams was born Aug. 9, 1932 in Sweetwater, Tenn. to John H. & Edna Lemons Williams. Mr. Williams was of the Baptist faith and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Luke Williams and John Williams, Jr. and sisters, Nona Mae Williams, Louie Gribble.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Edna Williams of Spring City; sons, James (Misty) Williams of Crossville, Tenn., James Williams, Jr. of Spring City and Frankie (Crystal) Williams of Crossville, Tenn.; daughter, Edna Mae Williams of Spring City; grandchildren, Brody Williams, Cody Williams, Shayla Williams, Spencer Williams, Braylee Williams, Trevor Collion Williams, Robin Williams, Heather Williams and JK Williams; sister, Leona Cathy of Knoxville, Tenn.; nephew, Donnie Cathy of Knoxville, Tenn. and nieces, Shirley Williams & Patricia Cathy of Knoxville, Tenn.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tenn. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Don Whattenburger officiating. Interment & burial will follow in Spring City Memorial Gardens in Spring City.
