George Douglas Froemke, 70, of Macon, Ga., unexpectedly went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 22, 2013.
Doug was a 1968 graduate of Bryan College and was employed at Kaiser-Roth Hosiery in the 1970’s as Superintendent of Knitting. During the last decade, he and his wife, Denise, made their home in Macon, Ga. Doug was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and served on the production team. He was also a member of the Gideons and the Bowman-Crowley Bible study class. Doug's heart was in helping people around the world to have God's Word in their own language.
He was pre-deceased by his father and mother, Martin and Ida Froemke and his daughter, Kelli.
Doug is survived by his wife of 42 years, Denise; son, Swen (Christine); grandson, Jonathan; brother, Ken (Marcy); sister, Janet (Bruce); adopted grandma, Mickey and many other much-loved extended family members, including uncles, aunt, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Ingleside Baptist Church in the white chapel at 834 Wimbish Rd. in Macon.
