Elmer "Bug" Stinnett (73)

Elmer "Bug" Stinnett, 73, of Dayton, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of the American Legion, AMVETS, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rosie Pearl Dodd Stinnett; three brothers, William “Bill,” Robert R. and Jack D. Stinnett, Sr. and sister, Dorothy Clara Belle Stinnett.
Survivors include his three sisters, Kathleen McBay of Spring City, Judy (Bobby) Pritchett and Helen (Murrell) England, brother, Jimmy C. "Bo" Stinnett all of Evensville; special friends, Doug Kincannon, Dick Miller and Leon Freels and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald and Rev. Frazer Vipond officiating. Burial will be at Webb Cemetery in Evensville.
The family received friends from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
