Olaf Tammark, 92, died Monday, February 24, 2014 at
Rhea Medical Center.
Born in Tartu, Estonia and formerly of Lake Geneva,
Wis., Olaf and his wife, Maggie, moved to the Spring City community in 1985. Olaf was an
architectural engineer and retired from Darrell West Architectural after 27 years of service.
He was a member of the Estica Fraternity and the Estonian American National Counsel. Olaf
was of the Lutheran faith and attended Spring City United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Heinrich
and Sinaide Holtfreter Tammark and brother, Arvo Tammark.
Olaf is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret
“Maggie” Tammark of Spring City; son, Mati Enn Tammark of Knoxville, Tenn. and three
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2,
at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. The family
will receive friends Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Spring City United Methodist Church Family Life
