Sara Trevena Smith, 76, died Thursday, Feb.
20, 2014, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. after a lengthy
battle with kidney disease.
Born in Ocoee, Tenn. and formerly of Oak
Ridge, Tenn., Sara moved to the Spring City community in 1981. She retired from the Department of Energy
in Oak Ridge as a personnel security specialist after 50 years of service. Sara was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents,
James and Lena Alice Greene McCall; husband, Johnny B. Rowlett and son, Mark
Sara is survived by her daughter, Sharon
“Sherrie” (Scott) Hutson of Spring City; stepson Jonathan Rowlett of Nashville,
Tenn.; brother Bob McCall of Blue Ridge, Va.; former husband and father of her
children, R. G. Williams Jr. of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandson, Mark Templeton of
Spring City; granddaughters, Stephanie (Steve) Shults of Oak Ridge, Tenn.,
Stacey Williams of Knoxville, Tenn. and Rachel and Allie Hutson both of Spring
City and great-grandchildren Spencer, Sydney and Keeton.
As Sara requested, her remains were cremated
and there will be no services.
