Jesse E. Green Sr.,
87, of Dayton, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in Dayton.
Jesse was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from Dupont after
34 years of service. He was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. He was
a lifelong resident of Dayton.
preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Marie Green and a brother, Clay Douglas Green.
Survivors include his wife, Joan K. Green of Dayton;
children, Jesse Edward Green Jr. “Eddie” of Dayton and Debbie Green (Kris) Fields of Maryville,
Tenn.; grandchildren, Justin (Melissa) Hopkins and Jerica (Josh) and Lindsey Jordan; stepgrandson,
Josh Fields; great-grandson, Cash Churchill and nephews, Douglas and David Green.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday,
Feb. 16, in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Ewing and Pastor Stanley
Faulkner officiating. Burial will be at Rhea Memory Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on
Saturday, Feb. 15.
