Edward “Marion” Sedman, 76, of Rockwood, Tenn., died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Oak Ridge, Tenn. He was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Spring City to the late Alfred and Audrey Ferguson Sedman. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Filyaw Sedman.
Previously of Dayton, Edward was a resident of Rockwood, Tenn. since 1984. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from C.F. Industries in Chattanooga, Tenn. and from Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn. as a senior lab technician.
He is survived by his three daughters, Kaye Sedman of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Pam Sedman and Kim (Brian) Hanson both of Rockwood, Tenn.; two brothers, Harold (Maida) Sedman of Hixson, Tenn. and Robert “Allen” (Ginger) Sedman of Dayton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services with military honors for Edward will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Young officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
