Barbara Lois Bunyard Gryder, born Oct. 27, 1935, wife of Robert J. Gryder and only child of Hazel Hish Bunyard and the late Timothy “Shorty” Bunyard of Tower Hill, Ill. rests with God in Heaven after a quick battle with cancer on Dec, 14, 2013. Barbara served her community in Miami, Fla. and Anchorage, Alaska as a legal secretary. She served her family as a patiently, loving wife to Robert for 39 years of adventure and stories.
She is survived by her cousin, Lisa Breedlove of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Brother-in-law, Joseph E. Gryder and his wife, Elizabeth Chilton Gryder of Dayton; niece, Lorilei and Chris Dreibelbis of Front Royal, Va; nephew, Joseph and Melissa Gryder of Arnold, Md.; stepniece, Traci and Brett Wood of Montecello, Fla. and great nieces and nephews, J.T and Belle Dreibelbis, Helena and Eli Gryder and Sierra and Dallas Wood.
A remembrance service will be held at the home of Robert and Barbara Gryder in Ten Mile, Tenn. on Sunday Dec. 29, at 1 p.m. with interment of ashes at Buttram Cemetery in Dayton following the service.
