Dewie Lee Morgan, 64, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday Dec. 14, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith. Dewie enjoyed hunting. He was employed as truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alma Morgan; and his sisters, Pearl Brown and Deanie Salmon.
Dewie is survived and will be missed by his wife, Mary Morgan and son, Brent (Linda) Brown both of Dayton; daughter, Connie (Modesto) Loya of Spring City; brothers, Harvey (Nellie) Morgan and Garland Morgan both of Dayton; sisters, Carolyn (Jan) Dillard, Evensville, Flora Jean (Ron) Palmer of Red Bank, Tenn.; grandchildren, Meghan and Dillon Brown, Amanda Thompson, Brandy Beach and Christa and Deanna Price; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Chella Thompson and Deja Dyer; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Dewie’s life will be held on Monday Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. CST in the chapel of Pikeville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. CST on Sunday. Burial will be in Rigsby Cemetery.
