Billy Mack Cochran, 82, of Cleveland, Tenn., died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at Hospice Care of Chattanooga.
Bill was a dedicated and faithful Christian and loved his church, North Cleveland Baptist Church. For 51 years, he served as a deacon and was a Sunday school teacher. He was a partner in the Cleveland Roofing and Air Conditioning Company until his retirement in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Nelson and Leela Masengale Cochran; four sisters, Mary Dillard, Mildred Matthew, Wilma McSpadden and Doris Pope and three brothers, Harold, Delano and J.C. Cochran.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sandra Mathews Cochran of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sons, William (Deneas) Cochran of Knoxville, Tenn. and Mark Cochran of Cleveland, Tenn.; one daughter, Laura (John Mark) Moore of Cleveland, Tenn.; sisters, Thelma Benton of Paducah, Ky., Lillie Sweet of Crossville, Tenn. and Shirley Norman of Clarkrange, Tenn.; brother, Paul Cochran of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah (Whitney) Smith, Jennifer (David) Matikke, Marcus (Tracy) Cochran, Cory Cochran and Will, Jake, Matthew and Lee Young and his delight and pride, five beautiful great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at North Cleveland Baptist Church with Dr. Jay McCluskey and Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery in Spring City.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at North Cleveland Baptist Church.
