Alcibee B. Tharp, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at her home.
Born in Choudrant, La., she was the daughter of the late Cledith and Alma Collie Butler. Alcibee was a nurse’s aid before her retirement. She moved from North Little Rock, Ark. to the Spring City community in 2005. She was a member of the Women’s Missionary Association, the Sunshiner’s in Arkansas and the Red Hat Club of Spring City. Alcibee was a member of North Hills Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Tharp, stepson, Ronald Tharp and brother, Clyde Butler.
Survivors include her daughters, Tijuana (Gary) Gilmore of Spring City and Barbara (Tommy) Hutto of Damascus, Ark.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Vaughn Funeral Home. Interment will be Sunday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. at the Beulah Cemetery in Choudrant, La.
