Etta Mae DeVault, 92, of Pikeville, Tenn. passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 9, 2013.
Etta was a lifelong resident of New Harmony and the owner and operator of Morgan Springs Grocery and Pikeville Laundromat. She was a member of the New Harmony Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Marietta Brock of Pikeville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Melody A. Walker (Jon Walker) of Tokyo, Japan and Joshua F. Harris (Joei Leigh Bullington) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren, Macon Walker of Fairfax, Va., Joseph Walker of Tokyo, Japan, Mary-Catherine Walker of Tokyo, Japan, Evan Harris of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Marley-Rose Harris of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Whit Harris of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and several nieces, nephews and cousins along with a number of friends. She held a special place in her heart for Patsy Fann, Lisa B. and Lisa L.(Hospice Nurses).
Mrs. DeVault is preceded in death by her husband, Cleo DeVault of Dayton; father, John W. Fann of Pikeville, Tenn.; mother, Bessie Acuff Fann of Pikeville, Tenn.; two brothers, Austin Fann and Clarence Fann, both of Pikeville, Tenn. and one sister, Nellie Bess Fann of Pikeville, Tenn.
Visitation will be held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home on Sunday, August 11, from 1 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, at 2 p.m. (EST) with J.L. Reel officiating. Pallbearers include Tommy Gadd (Honorary), Gary Everett, Ralph Everett, Billy DaVault (nephew), Joshua Harris (grandson), Charles Harris (son-in-law) and Jamie Robinson. She will be interred next to her beloved husband at the Rigsby Cemetery in New Harmony.
