Jerold Price Johnson, 86, of Dayton, died July 16, 201 in Chattanooga. He was born July 10, 1927 in Fort Smith, Ark. to the late Carl A. Johnson and Hazel (Rae) Johnson.
Jerold has lived the past 38 years in Dayton and worked as a foreman in the bridge construction business. He served his country in the U.S. Army and is a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
Jerold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Florence (Walker) Johnson of Dayton; son, Jerold David (Ashley) Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Christine M. White of Thomasville, Ga.; grandchildren, Vicktoria White, Tanya Lyras, Jackson Johnson, Paris Johnson, Ashlynn (Aaron) Grindstaff and Austin Hedrick, and great-grandchildren, Kyra Lyras, Nicho Lyras, Zoe Lyras, and Delia Lyras.
Services for Jerold will be held Saturday, July 20, at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Dayton. Burial will be in the Dayton City Cemetery.
