Sudie Miller Lowe, 94, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at
the Spring City Care Center.
Born in Rhea County, Sudie was the daughter of the
late Henry C. and Melody Hill Smith Sr. After the death of her first husband, Chester
Miller, Sudie married Estel Lowe. They made their home in Denver, Colo. After Estel’s
death, Sudie moved back to the Spring City community. She was a member of the Arvada United
Methodist Church in Arvada, Colo. and was active in her church prior to moving back to Spring
Sudie was preceded in death by her
first husband, Chester Miller; second husband, Estel Lowe and grandson, Stacey Miller.
Survivors include her son, Morris Ray (Mary Jane)
Miller of Spring City; daughter, Leta (Jerry) Allen of Franklin, Tenn.; stepchildren, Vickie
(Roland) Weaver of Tucson, Ariz., Krista (Dewey) Jackson of Arvada, Colo. and Denny Lowe of Ash
Grove, Mo.; brother, H. C. (Peggy) Smith Jr. of Spring City; sisters, Margaret Holloway of Oak
Ridge, Tenn., Henrietta Suttles of Hixson, Tenn. and Elsie Gibson and June Kyle both of Evensville;
grandchildren, Michael Miller, Hopie and Aubrey Jackson, Jacob Lowe and Christopher and Brett
Weaver; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Conner, Tobin Weaver and Megan and Mason Miller;
great-great-grandchild, Gracie and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, at
noon in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Huskey officiating. Interment will
follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10
a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
