Donald Ray Hill, 75, of
Chattanooga and formerly of Spring City, died Friday April 12, 2013 at
Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge, Tenn.
Born in Spring City, Don
attended Spring City High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army for
ten years in the military police. Don retired from Jolley Trucking in Spring
City. In his retirement, he loved gardening and taking care of his wife,
Jackie. He delighted in keeping track of the activities of his nieces, nephews
and great nieces and nephews who brought him much joy.
Don was preceded in death
by his parents, Laura and Eugene Fischesser and infant son, David Hill.
Survivors include his wife
(the love of his life), Jackie Wassom Hill of Chattanooga; daughters, Leslie
and Lori Hill of Wisconsin; stepchildren, Robin Brown and Donnie Wassom of
Chattanooga; sisters Mary Sue Garrison and Janet (Jimmy) Simpson both of Spring
City; brother, Terry Fischesser of Spring City; nieces, Tina (Mike) Ladd, Kelly
Malone and Amy (Brian) Hager; nephews, Jim (Penny) Ewing; great nieces and
nephews, Lauren, Grant and Carson Ladd and Grace Malone; granddaughter, Mary
Catherine; step-grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan and a host of cousins and
Funeral services will be
Monday April 15, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment will
follow in the Spring City Cemetery with military honors. The family will
receive friends Monday at the funeral home one hour before services.
