Barbara Jean Keever, 76, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at
Tennova West Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was born Feb. 6, 1937
in Spring City, the daughter
of William and Nellie Vittitoe Neal.
Mrs. Keever was a longtime
member of Royce Baptist Church.
She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family,
especially her grandchildren. She
also enjoyed bird watching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by husband, Ray Clifton Keever on May 26, 2010.
She is survived by sons, Ken Keever and Carol
of Clinton, Tenn., Alan
Keever and wife Carla of Tega Cay, S.C.
and Merle Keever
and Chris Keever, both of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; daughter, Linda Keever of Clinton, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tracey Hershman-Weibert and husband
Brad of Manchester, Tenn., Chase Keever of Charleston, S.C. and Mallory Keever, Kasey Keever, Rachel Keever,
Alexis Keever and Matthew Keever, all of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
The family will receive friends Sunday,
March 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at
Royce Baptist Church. The funeral
will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mike Harbin officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at
Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The
family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,
