Anna Mae Ray, 81, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Mrs. Ray was a lifetime resident of Spring City. She was the daughter of the late Oliver Glaspy and Martha England Janow.  Mrs. Ray was a seamstress and retired from SSM Industries in Spring City.  She attended Bogle's Chapel Baptist Church in Evensville.

Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Walter "Ott" Ray; sisters, Ellen Manning, Eula True, Clarabelle Strader and Kathleen Janow; and brothers, Gaither and Bill Janow.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Lively of Hixson, Tenn., Nellie (James) Oldacre of Spring City, and Carol (Jim) Pritchett of Dayton; sisters, Dot Janow and Elsie Durham both of Spring City; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Revis officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring City Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  

Vaughn Funeral Home of Spring City is in charge of arrangements.
