Steve Jackson, 71, of Rockwood, Tenn., died Monday, January 25, 2010 at Roane Medical Center.

Mr. Jackson was born in North Carolina, the son of the late Travis C. and Daphne Jackson.  He was retired from Suburban Mfg. Co.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines. 
He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jackson; three sisters; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include his two daughters, Robin (Jerry) Walker and Ruby (Dennis) Walden both of Spring City; son, Ray Jackson of Woodstock, Ga.; sister, Kay Hickman of Dayton; brother, Donald (Carla) Jackson of Spring City; three grandchildren, Josh Walker, Nicole Walker, and Hunter Walden; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.  Burial will be at Ad-Smith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Coulter Garrison Funeral Home of Dayton is in charge of arrangements.
