Ruby Belle Harwood, 102, of Graysville, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Life Care Center of Rhea County. 

Mrs. Harwood was born in Dunlap, Tenn. on August 15, 1907, the daughter of the late Rufus and Dessie Johnson Smith.  She had lived in Graysville since age 14 where she was a homemaker and a member of the Graysville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Harwood was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bradford Harwood; her daughter, Frankie Harwood; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her two sons, Johnny Harwood of Graysville and Mickey (Maxine) Harwood of Pikeville; two daughters, Priscilla (Charley) Corvin and Carolyn (Tom) Kelley both of Dayton; her sister, Velma Newberry of Graysville; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. David Hillian officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Pleasantview Cemetery in Graysville.

The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 and Wednesday, Jan. 27.
