Katie Marie McCollum, 86, of Dayton, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at her home. Mrs. McCollum was born June 23, 1923 in Sale Creek, Tenn. daughter of the late Tom and Sarah Poe McCollum. Mrs. McCollum was proceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. McCullum. Survivors include her son, Johnny McCollum of Dayton; daughter, Sarah Simpson of Evensville; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 3, at 1 p.m. at Buttram Cemetery in Dayton with Rev. Carroll Henderson officiating.
